ANT

Infrastructural projects – such as those involving roads, tunnels or bridges – are typically very complex, and data is exchanged among all parties involved. As well as this, we are increasingly working with parametric technical models. If these were drawn up on paper, each subsequent change would require recalculating and redrawing. After all, the output of one party is the input for another. It is a time-consuming method in which errors are unavoidable and which is pressured by the need for short lead times. It is time to improve this process. ANT makes that possible.

User-friendly hub in the design process

ANT is an online platform which allows various people to collaborate during the construction process of infrastructural works. Data is exchanged centrally and adjustments are immediately visible to all. The platform also makes it possible to develop many variants at the same time, while coordination between different disciplines takes place without a hitch.

ANT displays dependencies at parameter level, making it possible to check at any time whether each discipline is working with the correct data. As these dependencies are recorded in ANT, the process is carried out automatically and no user intervention is required. That is what makes ANT the user-friendly hub in the design and construction process.

Frequently used software packages

When it comes to digital solutions, users often have to adapt their working methods to the software. One of the key features of ANT is the inclusion of application programming interfaces (APIs) which allow each party to use its own software. Interfaces for SCIA Engineer, Plaxis, Excel, Python and Revit come standard with ANT.

For medium-sized and smaller contractors

ANT is a particularly attractive solution for medium-sized and smaller contractors wanting to significantly speed up the design process. ANT was designed by Witteveen+Bos (together with software developer CollaborAll) with everyday practice as its starting point. Contractors are no longer burdened with the task of learning new work methods.

Application programming interfaces

Thanks to the application programming interfaces, all parties can continue working with their own software. Interfaces for SCIA Engineer, Plaxis, Excel, Python and Revit come standard with ANT.
